Inco Steel Buildings, Inc., a Raleigh NC Licensed Dealer and Steel Erector, will construct this Barndominium from foundation to finish.

This Barndominium building is a Red Iron I-Beam Steel frame manufactured by Star Building System®, the industry leader in premium, pre-engineered metal building systems.  A true residential design; the barndo has approximately 6276 square feet under roof. 

Plan IB-6276 is 81′-0″ feet in width, and 100′-0″ in length. The eave height is 12’0″.

INTERIOR BUILDOUT

WALL SPACING:  A wall framing system with [MANDATORY] spacing gap designed for use [in] steel frame metal buildings,  that exceeds all related engineering and building codes (metal stud and wood stud) and complies with building manufacturer warranty requirements. 

NOTE: Because, red iron steel frames in metal building, and the movements of such, differs in its metal composition from a wooden frame building, framing installed by others, rather than Inco Steel Buildings Inc, must avoid contacting or pushing steel components, whether roof or wall, which could lead to water leaks and damage, voiding the warranty..   Deficiencies in wall framing workmanship and choice of framing materials for the wall framing of steel buildings can void [both] the steel building warranty, and the Contract To Build Agreement warranty.

FIREWALL

In this building, the steel firewall is designed for use [in] steel frame metal buildings and is constructed from noncombustible steel framing and steel corrugated metal panels. Inco firewalls are compliant with all applicable engineering and building codes as well as warranty requirements set forth by the building manufacturer. Fire-rated door systems; certified in-writing, are used in the firewall.

GUARANTEED PRICE | DATE-GUARANTEED COMPLETION DATE.

  • JOBSITE EVALUATION by BUILDER:  A jobsite evaluation must be performed in-person by Inco Steel Buildings, Inc in order provide a firm contract price, the final contract price [and] the project completion date.

JOBSITE EVALUATION POLICY

  • Unless a jobsite evaluation is performed within 30 consecutive days of the first consultation, any estimate, price, or information given by Inco Steel Buildings is void. Until a site-prepared building site evaluation is approved by the landowner, no pricing will be honored.

BUILDING CODE COMPLIANCE

  • NC State Residential Code (Section R310). Egress.  Every bedroom requires an emergency escape opening with a minimum net clear opening of 5.7 sq. ft. (5 sq. ft. for grade-floor), a minimum width of 20 inches, a height of 24 inches, and a maximum sill height of 44 inches.
  • North Carolina Energy Conservation Code (NCECC).
  • NC State Residential Code: (Section R303.1) (Habitable Rooms) natural light provided by windows or skylights with a minimum net glazed area of 8% of the floor area of the room.
