A commercial-grade Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) or custom estate barndominium demands an absolute level, stabilized footprint to ensure a flawless structural erection sequence.
To prevent devastating field delays, material staging damage, or equipment mobilization logistics failures, every project location must satisfy our strict pre-construction preparation guidelines. Review the verified layout parameters below to ensure your site is completely cleared, compacted, and accessible for our incoming commercial freight deliveries. Our field operations team verifies that every build location satisfies these strict pre-delivery checklist parameters:
Freight Delivery & Heavy Crane Access
Job sites must maintain a clear, level, and unobstructed path at least 14 feet high and 12 feet wide. This allows commercial flatbeds, concrete mixers, and multi-ton structural crane assets to maneuver safely without getting bogged down in soft soil.
Clearing, Stumps, & Mass Grading
The construction footprint must be entirely stripped of topsoil, organic debris, tree roots, stumps, and rocks. Soil leveling and earthwork balancing must bring the subgrade to exact engineered design elevations, extending a minimum of 5 feet beyond the building's final wall lines.
Utility Clearance & Overhead Boundaries
All underground utility coordinates must be professionally located, staked, and verified before earthmoving equipment mobilizes. Furthermore, there must be absolute zero interference from overhead power lines or low tree canopies over the staging zone.
Structural Soil Compaction & Drainage
To support heavy foundational concrete slab margins, soil must be compacted to strict engineering density values. The surrounding pad area must be sloped away from the building perimeter to ensure proper rainwater runoff control.
